This symposium will focus on issues of concern to developing countries and the Americas.

This symposium brings together key specialists in the field, from top decision-makers to engineers, designers, government officials, regulators and others. The topics to be discussed will include ICT policy frameworks, the reduction of the carbon footprint of the ICT sector and of other sectors, climate monitoring, adaptation, ICTs and emergencies, deforestation, and the financial aspects of ICTs and climate change in the Region.

The Symposium will be transmitted through the Academic networks CLARA, CEDIA, RENATA and IRIS. A live webinar will be available so that remote participants can see and hear presentations from wherever they are in the world. Proceedings will be available online after the symposium.
