LieuParis, France
DateDu 26 avril 2010 au 28 avril 2010

2009 was a record year for European Cleantech, seeing more venture deals than any previous year. Its 28% share of global Cleantech venture investment marked a 5-year high. 6 European countries, including France, saw more EURO’s invested in growth cleantech companies in 2009 than in any previous year. All this in the face of a global recession, no climate deal, few exits, little project finance, and European stimulus dwarfed by programmes in China and the US. What’s happening? What’s next?

This year’s theme, “Into the 2010’s: taking cleantech to scale”, is centered within the Cleantech Group’s viewpoint that this decade will see significant change in the cleantech innovation landscape, as the influence of deep-pocketed corporate titans and governments globally grows, as technology is scaled up across the industrial landscape and through a variety business models and financing mechanisms. With these changes, much of the spotlight will shift from technology development to industrial-scale manufacturing and deployment. The opportunities and risks increase proportionally, for companies, cities, and countries alike.

The timings and exact order of sessions are being finalized with speakers and sponsors. What is clear is that the Forum’s agenda will:

* give the lie of the land, identifying and interpreting the key trends impacting us in 2010 and beyond
* cover the subjects front of mind right now – what next post-Copenhagen, how is global Stimulus impacting the economy and cleantech, how nuclear ‘competes’ with other future energy alternatives
* explore trends and issues you ignore at your peril – the rise of Green Asia, the changing face and models in financing innovation, the potential crises in raw material supply
* examine particular areas of innovation activity as we head into the 2010s – Agriculture, Biofuels, Building materials, Carbon Capture, E-mobility, Solar, Waste, Water treatment, etc.
* put larger corporations to the fore – and keep up to date with what are they doing Expect contributions from the likes of Alstom, Schneider Electric, SNCF, Total, and Veolia
* showcase some of the brightest stars amongst the private, growth companies in cleantech

The conference program, with its mix of plenary sessions, parallel tracks, company presentations, side programs and networking breaks, will offer a great variety of subjects and formats to gain information and network with key individuals.
